Learn the skills, mindset shifts, and practice methods for building calm and ease in the bathroom
Does this sound familiar?
You need to pee, but when someone else is nearby, your body just won’t let go. You try to relax but your mind starts racing: Are they wondering why I’m taking so long? Can they hear me not going? What if they figure out I have this problem? The more you worry, the more you lock up. Sometimes you have to leave the bathroom without going, stressed out, frustrated, and still needing to pee.
If you have shy bladder, you know how awful it can be and how much it can shrink your life. What you may not know though is that millions of people also struggle with it. You are not alone in it and it can get better.
It’s not a flaw in you. It’s a cycle.
Shy bladder isn’t typically a problem with your bladder. It’s a stress response. When you need to pee with others nearby, you start to worry about whether you’ll be able to go. Your body tenses up, which makes it harder to go, and each unsuccessful attempt adds more fear, frustration, tension, and shame. Avoidance then keeps the cycle going.
The good news is that the cycle can be broken and you can learn how to go pee comfortably with others nearby.
This online video course brings the method I have used for years in 1 on 1 coaching sessions to help others work through shy bladder into a format you can work through privately, at your own pace.
Hi. I’m Jack.
I lived with shy bladder for 14 years and it was really awful. But I was able to get better. I’m so grateful that it’s now been over 9 years since I haven’t been able to use a public restroom or go pee where and when I’ve wanted to.
I’m a coach and a licensed therapist and I’m deeply passionate about helping others to develop that same sense of freedom where shy bladder isn’t affecting their lives anymore.
It absolutely is possible.
“Since Jack has dealt with shy bladder himself, he doesn’t just understand the challenges from a professional standpoint but rather knows what it feels like on a deeply personal level.”
This course is for you if any of these sound like you:
- You look for empty restrooms or single-use bathrooms, or go home to pee on breaks
- You can only go in certain conditions, like using a stall instead of a urinal, only if there are partitions, or only if no one is right next to you
- You can typically pee when you’re alone, but have been unable to go at times in public restrooms, even when you’ve been desperate or in deep discomfort
- You feel anxious or on edge when someone walks into the restroom, or even at the thought that someone might come in or knock
- You avoid drinking fluids before going out so you won’t need to pee
- You spend far more time than you’d like thinking about the bathroom
- You say no to things you’d like to do (trips, events, work opportunities) because you’re unsure what the bathroom situation will be like
- You try all sorts of mental hacks to distract yourself into peeing, but they only work occasionally
- You’re sick of having to live this way and are ready to do something about it
“If you’re struggling with shy bladder, I can’t recommend Jack enough.”

No, you do not need to tell someone about the issue or have a practice partner in order to get better.
That said, sharing about the issue with someone you feel safe with can be very helpful and expedite the process of getting better.

This course was mainly designed with adults in mind.
However, If you are a parent considering this course for your child or teen who is experiencing shy bladder, the tools presented here can be helpful to kids, but they will very likely need assistance from you for getting reps in and supporting them with their practice. Depending on your child’s age, I would recommend watching the course together with your child or if they are younger, watching the course without them and then teaching them the main skills learned in the course.
Also from my years of working with clients I have seen that a person with this issue has to be motivated to improve. If you have to nag your child to work on the issue it is unlikely these teachings will prove very effecting.*Also please note that in the video where I speak about my story with shy bladder, I briefly speak about some sexual challenges I experienced concurrently with my shy bladder symptoms. If you wouldn’t want your child to hear that part, you can easily skip that video.
